You may notice a couple of pairs of images that look identical here – from instruments owned by Harry Punt and Frank Rice. Lest you think it’s a mistake, here are the two instruments side-by-side. The sound hole inserts and decoration are the same, but the Punt instrument has additional gilt decoration and the proportions of the instruments are slightly different.
