Recordings of Oswald Stammers In 1970 Russell Wortley recorded Oswald Stammers in Saffron Walden, Essex and his original recordings are now housed in the British Library's Sound Archive. On some tracks he was recorded with his brother Ronald (not Josie, as stated in the NSA notes) playing one-string phono fiddle, an instrument made by his father.
